Mr. Wu envisioned entering the wind power industry four years ago, and his plans are succesfully being implemented. China Wind Systems' core competency lies in its manufacture and sale of industrial machinery – a business that continues to be profitable – with the wind segment becoming a growing piece of the pie. After careful planning and assessment, the Company in 2007 began generating revenue from forged rolled rings for use in the wind power and other industries. Sales of components for the wind industry have scaled rapidly. The sale of forged products for the wind power and other industries increased 104.2% year over year to $35.7 million, or 66.8% of net revenues in 2009. In 2009, revenue from the sale of forged products exclusively to the wind power industry increased 198.5% year over year to $20.1 million, or 37.6% of net revenue.
